One of the great things about owning a Mosquito Joe franchise is the rewards we get knowing how much we help our customers to enjoy the outdoors again. Many of our customers have written and told us that we have literally changed their lives by giving them their yards and lives back. That’s a great feeling for us.
But, for us, there’s always room to give back more. We realized that we have a unique opportunity in that our service routes touch a lot of people and a lot of homes. Most people would like to help others, but in today’s world, having the time to do it is always a challenge.
For this reason, we have partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to help the hungry. For the months of September and October, we will be collecting food as a part of our daily routing. For any customer who would like to participate, simply leave 1 can of non-perishable, non-expired food on your porch and we’ll collect it, organize it, and get it to the good people at the food bank. The program is purely voluntary, but we know from experience that we always seem to end up with a can or two of something we might not use. Rather than throwing it away, leave it for us the next two months and we’ll put it to good use.
There will be reminder about this program in the daily e-mail advising our service dates. If you would like to help, please leave canned food only and only a can or two for each visit. The space in our service vans is small and because of the nature of our operation, all donations will be in the cab of our trucks.
Thank you for any help you can provide to help us help the hungry in the great state of Maryland.
